With the construction of the Bagnell Dam in the 1920s-1930s, and the creation of the Lake of the Ozarks which then followed, a number of communities quickly developed around the lake area, one of which is Sunrise Beach. The small lake community of Sunrise Beach is located in south-central Missouri in Camden and Morgan counties. Located next to Lake of the Ozarks, the small town of only 379 people attracts a number of visitors who enjoy vacationing in the area. Sunrise Beach sits on the west side of the lake and offers a number of amenities, including several marinas, restaurants, resorts, parks, and other local attractions, including Big Shot Amusement Park, Big Surf Water Park, Bridal Cave, Casino Pier, Jacob's Cave, and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. This beautiful community has something to offer everyone!
